Places I’ve Lived - London - Keldaby
Smoothyville was nice, but felt like a step backwards after my own place, and so when my christmas bonus came in I decided to get my own place. In fact, I went though the estate agents in Walthamstow on the first day after the new year and went to the first open one. We looked at a few houses, and it came down to this or a house on Camden Road. The choice between an older, slightly darker flat made from the top half of a house or the custom-built light and airy world of Viking Place wasn’t easy (Camden had a gas hob, Viking Place had a shower) but I eventually went with Viking Place. It got named Keldaby after the viking word for Stream.
It survived the end of Trutap and my starting with Skimlinks, but as Fyr moved in with me - effectively and then literally - it just wasn’t big enough, and so we started the search for what eventually became Fyrion Towers
