The Fundamentals don't really deserve the capital letter. They are four anchors, mantras, mottos, statements of truth; to be remembered and reminded of whenever the dark shadows of despair block the sun, and the dark whirlpool of depression ups its churning pull.

The phrasing changes - I've never met a sentence I wrote that I didn't want to rewrite - but currently read.

  1. There will be a sunrise tomorrow
  2. Somebody loved you once
  3. The falling stars can light the way
  4. Crash, don't burn

The original set were:

  1. This too shall pass,
  2. Somebody loved you once,
  3. You can sail this ship alone if you have to
  4. Crash, don't burn
